Believing in ‘the hundred languages’ of children allows us to see the creativity and abundant storylines that are created many times through the children’s play. This week kittens were in total control of the castle and got up to so many things, there was definitely no admission to the castle unless you were a kitten! These playful actions continued around the classroom.
So, how do we know when we are happy and how do we know when kittens are happy too? After Jude followed the stages of drawing a cat, he decided that it looked sad. He thought about what could make ‘Julie’s cat’ feel happy and chose to add a bowl filled with cat food! What a wonderful and thoughtful way to think of how to brighten up the feelings of others, especially in times when it’s needed!
