Over the past few weeks we have been learning about the history of art, focusing on impressionism and abstract art. We’ve experimented with a range of styles and approaches to landscapes and portraits, taking inspiration from Claude Monet, Paul Klee, David Hockney, Georgia O’Keefe and most recently Pablo Picasso.

Alongside our artwork we are also learning more about books and the different ways that information is presented. We are all choosing a science-related topic and finding an information book that we can read independently. Our books need to include diagrams, photographs and text in a range of sizes, and have a contents page, glossary and index.

Please can parents support their child in selecting one information book related to a science topic.
