Parents at LNS share a belief that school can and should be a special place where children can flourish and families can learn and grow together.
The school is proud of the genuine partnership that is formed between parents and the school. Children, staff and parents work together on all aspects of school life, to create a vibrant and dynamic community which values learning and respect for all its members.
Parents organise regular events which aim to strengthen the community as well as raise funds, and contribute their skills as advisors, gardeners, decorators, designers, writers and much more.
Parents are invited to bring their creativity, skills and talents into the classroom to inspire a project or lead a workshop. We have seen the benefit this can bring as children witness the adults they know demonstrating their own love of learning or sharing a passion and expertise in their chosen field.
A termly Open Forum provides an opportunity for parents, staff, governors and trustees to voice their thoughts and opinions and be heard.
Our Quiet Room is always available for a drink and a chat and there is never a rush to leave the playground at the end of the day.
